Hostel near Leiden

The Flying Pig Beach Hostel near Leiden is the only real Backpacker Hostel in the vicinity of Leiden. Leiden is a historical Dutch City located 10 km North East of The Flying Pig Beach Hostel

Leiden has a population of around 120,000 people, and sits somewhat inland on the west coast of the Netherlands.  Leiden has plenty of museums, gardens, windmills, historical sites, bars, pubs, nightclubs and coffeeshops to keep visitors busy for at least a fortnight, and of course, Leiden is the birthplace of the famous artist Rembrant! 
The easiest and cheapest way to get to Leiden from the Beach Hostel is by bus - numbers 40 and 42 depart from the centre of Noordwijk every half an hour, and a return ticket costs only €2.20!  The journey takes about 30 minutes, and cuts across glorious Dutch countryside, which makes the bus ride an enjoyable experience in itself.  So, buy the ticket, take the ride!
