Here at The Flying Pig Beach Hostel we embrace creative people with open arms.  We like to think of ourselves as an Art Hostel - budding artists rolling up at the Beach Hostel are provided with a blank canvas and the opportunity to spread serious amounts of creativity upon it!  In one corner of the Beach Hostel surf bar you’ll find a dedicated area for artists - a place to set about painting a masterpiece of the future!  So make use of the free paints and canvases here at The Flying Pig Beach Hostel, and no doubt your talents will be spotted by fellow travellers, other arty types, and ultimately the entire world!   

The town of Noordwijk is a great place for hostel backpackers to escape from the heaviness of the modern world.  Artists cannot help but be stimulated by the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape.  You may want to grab a canvas and paints, and pick a spot somewhere along the 13km of unspoilt shoreline, or prowl around the sand dunes until you feel the vibrations are just right for a brush stroke of creativity.   

The Flying Pig Beach Hostel is also the perfect base from which to explore the Bollenstreek and engage its natural beauty.  From March until the end of May the Bollenstreek area of the Netherlands blooms into a carnival of colour as all the famous flowers fields burst into life.  At this time of year the Bollenstreek is the most photographed, painted, and visited area the world.  The area around Noordwijk is also surrounded by some of the world’s most beautiful windmills, which artists from all over the world come to paint against the wonderfully flat backdrop that runs off for miles into the horizon. 

So feel free to pour out lashings of imaginative magic at The Flying Pig Beach Hostel.  And who knows, if we like your style we may even commission you to paint the walls of our beloved Beach Hostel!  The very best works of art will be uploaded onto an online gallery, thus sharing your work with the entire online community.  And with your permission, we plan to print selected design onto Flying Pig Beach Hostel T-shirts; which will create a walking advertisement of your talents!
